WEBVTT

1
00:00:00.000 --> 00:01:02.000
<v Speaker A>Sam. Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Brian in the Toronto house. This. These are my bitches. Say hi, bitches.

2
00:01:02.000 --> 00:01:07.000
<v Speaker B>Hi, bitches.

3
00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:23.000
<v Speaker A>And why don't you all introduce who you are, what you're playing. Well, who you think you are, what you think you're playing. You know, the good stuff. Go aubry. And then you just popcorn it.

4
00:01:23.000 --> 00:01:42.000
<v Speaker C>Hi, I'm Aubrey. I feel like you should know me by now. I am going to be playing Shrike, who uses she, her pronouns and is a human duskwalker champion of iniquity. And I will popcorn to the next person I see on my screen. Sparlock.

5
00:01:42.000 --> 00:02:14.000
<v Speaker B>Hello, I am Sparlock. I use he, him pronouns. And I am playing tic tac, the Jotun keeper. Jotun born, presumably some sort of ranger and who uses hehim pronouns as well. And we will go off to Alyssa, apparently.

6
00:02:14.000 --> 00:02:31.000
<v Speaker D>Hello, hello, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them. And I am playing Cora, who uses any pronouns. And Cora is a beautiful, clean sprite and a witch. And I will pass it to Faris.

7
00:02:31.000 --> 00:02:32.000
<v Speaker A>Hello, I am Faris.

8
00:02:32.000 --> 00:02:48.000
<v Speaker E>How you see her pronouns? And I'm playing Compy, who is allegedly Dragonet Magus. And probably maybe uses he him pronouns. Who can say Dusty, have you gone?

9
00:02:48.000 --> 00:03:09.000
<v Speaker F>I have not. Hi, I'm Dusty. I'm here. I use they them pronouns. I'm playing Joe Gunslinger. Maybe spellshot. They are here. They have an arm. Well, they have two, but they have an arm in their back.

10
00:03:09.000 --> 00:03:36.000
<v Speaker G>Mandy. Hi, everybody. I'm Mandy. Or the Mandy. My pronouns are they, any, and I am playing curio. The cat folk, presumably oracle pronouns. They, them for curio. That's it, right? Nobody else. Everybody else went, right?

11
00:03:36.000 --> 00:03:39.000
<v Speaker C>We

12
00:03:39.000 --> 00:03:50.000
<v Speaker A>kind of. Nice. Alrighty. What happened last time?

13
00:03:50.000 --> 00:03:55.000
<v Speaker E>Hello, we welcome. Wait, what am I doing?

14
00:03:55.000 --> 00:03:56.000
<v Speaker A>The recap.

15
00:03:56.000 --> 00:05:38.000
<v Speaker E>Yeah, the recap. I don't know why I tried to do the intro again last time. We had an interesting time where we discovered we exist and vaguely discovered more or less parts of who we might be, where we all woke up in a gross, sticky, dark cave. Some of us found it dark, some of us found it less dark, depending on your degree of dark vision. Most everyone had low light vision and it was sticky and it was covered in pudding or arguably perhaps meat, depending on whom you asked, because it tasted different to everyone, which was, you know, normal things. Normal things that you like to have your walls tasting like that would get attacked by some random people. Honestly, a very strange collection of individual trying to eat My poor little guy. Thankfully, the group at large decided we shouldn't eat the Little guy. Little guy does not deserve to be eaten yet. And so we killed the random people trying to eat at least one of us, if not more of us. And then some of us had some flashbacks into whom we might possibly be and why we could possibly be here. Something to do with tender flesh. Question mark. Probably not a worrisome word or name. Definitely not someone who is very powerful and ancient and is known to be a very serious threat. Probably not a problem. And. Yeah, and then we discovered we have nicknames. And that's all I recall.

16
00:05:38.000 --> 00:06:16.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah. Wonderful. Speaking of wonderful, a memory for you. Tic Tac is how we're going to start this session. You see, you're thinking. You're thinking and walking. Things that you can do at the same time. You're thinking back. Back to the one thing you truly remember. To seek permission to lead a hunt, to lead a research expedition.

17
00:06:16.000 --> 00:06:18.000
<v Speaker C>You

18
00:06:18.000 --> 00:06:26.000
<v Speaker A>remember that in your. In your bag. Somewhere in your bag, you know you

19
00:06:26.000 --> 00:06:30.000
<v Speaker B>have

20
00:06:30.000 --> 00:07:25.000
<v Speaker A>a emblem of some sort, more like a patch, a patch ripped off from a uniform. You know that you were one of the lucky few to be sponsored by the House of Thain and you work as their vassal. The House of Thain, you know, being one of the most important houses under the Order of Grotesqueries, you are important. This mission you are on is also important. And so perhaps you walk with a bit more purpose than the others. Are you leading the pack or are you. Where are you in this marching order?

21
00:07:25.000 --> 00:08:08.000
<v Speaker B>I think I am leading ahead, Especially as I'm feeling this confidence, specifically, like, not too far ahead, but I'm lumbering, like, I don't know, maybe 15, 20ft ahead of everyone. Like, I. I feel like I know where we're going more than the other people, and I'm pretty fast on my feet, so they don't have much to say about that.

22
00:08:08.000 --> 00:09:04.000
<v Speaker A>And in your. In your bag, you can kind of feel the outline of that very thick, very important book. And you know that it is also important to your mission right now. It holds information. You hold information. Perhaps the most information out of anyone here. When you look at the. Your companions, perhaps, how do you feel? What do they. What do they look like to you? Like, not, like, not like their ancestries and stuff. I mean, like, if you were to vibe check the group, now that you feel a certain way about yourselves, how do you feel?

23
00:09:04.000 --> 00:09:17.000
<v Speaker B>My, I think my first instinct is to feel superior, and I don't know how I feel about that first instinct.

24
00:09:17.000 --> 00:10:16.000
<v Speaker A>That's all right. You don't know where you are. You Barely know who you are. Second guessing yourself is maybe natural. Who knows? But I'm just leaving you with that information. As we kind of go upon the rest of the marching order, you guys have space to essentially do the three man walk on the street or on a sidewalk where you block the whole fucking sidewalk. And then you have to push back into two or even a single file. But like in this case, nobody's coming at you. So you could walk rather than single file or anything like that. You can kind of walk as a little. As a little gaggle, if you will. How? Besides. Besides Tic Tac. Because we kind of gathered how you're feeling. How's everybody else feeling? You've been walking for a bit in the dark or the poorly lit dark.

25
00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:20.000
<v Speaker C>We have the Wayfinder with light on it.

26
00:10:20.000 --> 00:10:21.000
<v Speaker A>You do.

27
00:10:20.000 --> 00:10:23.000
<v Speaker C>So we have a little bit of light at least.

28
00:10:23.000 --> 00:10:31.000
<v Speaker A>Is anybody else using any form of light or are you all solely relying on this Wayfinder?

29
00:10:31.000 --> 00:11:14.000
<v Speaker F>I would say that, like at one point during this travel, Joe was like that switch they found like behind their ear, tucked in where they could like turn off their smelling and their tastes. They found another one on the opposite ear and realized they could turn it on and they just start like emanating light from like just their body. And so they have turned that on. So just to give everyone more light, has not commented on it whatsoever. Just to be clear,

30
00:11:14.000 --> 00:11:31.000
<v Speaker D>Kora has not turned on any sort of light, but is also not walking. She has perched herself on Tic Tac's shoulder with or without approval, and is hitching ride.

31
00:11:31.000 --> 00:11:36.000
<v Speaker E>If I recall correctly, Compy is also hitching a ride with Shrike.

32
00:11:36.000 --> 00:11:37.000
<v Speaker C>Yes, I believe so.

33
00:11:36.000 --> 00:11:39.000
<v Speaker E>Because it was your Wayfinder holding the Wayfinder, huh?

34
00:11:39.000 --> 00:11:42.000
<v Speaker C>Yeah, I'm holding your Wayfinder.

35
00:11:42.000 --> 00:11:44.000
<v Speaker A>Yes.

36
00:11:44.000 --> 00:11:45.000
<v Speaker D>Wife way.

37
00:11:45.000 --> 00:11:47.000
<v Speaker E>What is the difference?

38
00:11:47.000 --> 00:11:55.000
<v Speaker A>Your wife finder. Yes, yes. What about you, Curio?

39
00:11:55.000 --> 00:12:12.000
<v Speaker G>Unless anybody else is pointedly making themselves the last person in the group, I would like to be the last person in this group. I do not wish to be in the front by any means.

40
00:12:12.000 --> 00:12:18.000
<v Speaker A>Is there any other reason why you want to be the last in this group?

41
00:12:18.000 --> 00:12:25.000
<v Speaker G>You know, if anything goes wrong, I will abandon these people.

42
00:12:25.000 --> 00:12:31.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah, yeah, Ironically.

43
00:12:31.000 --> 00:12:49.000
<v Speaker G>And that's how. That's how Curio is feeling right now. Like, okay, I need. I. I need an. I need an out. If something happens. I don't know what's going on here. The safest place for me to be is right where I am. So fully strategy. Putting emotion aside.

44
00:12:49.000 --> 00:12:59.000
<v Speaker A>Okay, okay, that's fair. I think it's funny that the Cat folk is the tail end of the group. But like, you know, puns.

45
00:12:59.000 --> 00:13:05.000
<v Speaker G>Do I get inspiration for that? Do I get a hero point for that?

46
00:13:05.000 --> 00:13:12.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah, why the not? I mean, like, you can start off with two. We. We get a hero point every. Every hour as a reminder, y'.

47
00:13:12.000 --> 00:13:14.000
<v Speaker D>All.

48
00:13:14.000 --> 00:14:35.000
<v Speaker A>Oh, which by the way, see, I was debating using this mechanic at all, but I, you know, why not? If you would like to trade in hero points for memories, I will allow that. Of course, you know that means you are trading in a reroll or get out of death free card, but you know, it's gamble as you see fit that is on the table now just to make it vocalized so you may do so. But now that we have a. You're all together, you're walking forward. That's the direction you're walking. Where the Wayfinder tells you specifically. Right. Yes, you will. When you look at this wayfinder, firstly, it's. It is well taken care of. It's not necessarily new, but it's not worn out. It just. It does look nice though. It is. I've mentioned before, it's the Wayfinder of Rescue specifically and Shrike. You want to give me a perception?

49
00:14:35.000 --> 00:14:43.000
<v Speaker C>Yeah, I can do that. That is a natural 20 for 32.

50
00:14:43.000 --> 00:15:35.000
<v Speaker A>Stinky. So this is something that perhaps Compy hasn't noticed yet because you haven't had the chance to really look at your Wayfinder. But for you, Shrike, since it's like right in front of your face, you can see that this wayfinder actually has some initials and a little message kind of inscribed in it. The initials are ct, the letter C and T and the little message is so, you know, so you always know your way home. Kind of inscribed nicely in like a half spherical shape.

51
00:15:35.000 --> 00:15:55.000
<v Speaker C>Yeah. And I think noticing it, yeah, I think noticing it, I would turn towards Compy on my shoulder and say, does this mean anything to you? I say, as I point out the initials and the. The quote,

52
00:15:55.000 --> 00:16:10.000
<v Speaker E>Compie would consider it mull over the like two one and a half memories that he has and then say, yes, I. I actually think it does. Pleasant.

53
00:16:10.000 --> 00:16:11.000
<v Speaker A>That's good.

54
00:16:11.000 --> 00:16:21.000
<v Speaker E>This, this means. That means that the memories have a weight of pleasantness and that they are leading towards good things.

55
00:16:21.000 --> 00:16:23.000
<v Speaker C>We can only hope.

56
00:16:23.000 --> 00:16:37.000
<v Speaker E>I. I have much hope. Because when you are lacking all things, what can you do except compensate in the best ways?

57
00:16:37.000 --> 00:16:41.000
<v Speaker C>He said it, not me.

58
00:16:41.000 --> 00:16:57.000
<v Speaker A>Also, the copy, when it's pointed out to you, the initial C and T, you can, you can kind of infer it's just Chantao. Yeah. But you would know that her name is one word. It's just like. Yeah, it's just. It just makes more sense. Like, her name is one word.

59
00:16:57.000 --> 00:16:58.000
<v Speaker E>Okay, okay.

60
00:16:58.000 --> 00:17:26.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah. But, yeah, your wayfinder does have light. It does have those little initials on it, which you are now aware of and going to move on. You know what? Let's ask a couple of y' all how you're feeling. Actually, Kora.

61
00:17:26.000 --> 00:17:28.000
<v Speaker C>Bad.

62
00:17:28.000 --> 00:17:30.000
<v Speaker E>Bad.

63
00:17:30.000 --> 00:17:36.000
<v Speaker D>If you have more narration, I'll listen to it. But I'll tell you how Cora is feeling. It's bad. Bad.

64
00:17:36.000 --> 00:17:39.000
<v Speaker A>Why are you feeling bad, Korra?

65
00:17:39.000 --> 00:18:11.000
<v Speaker D>Because we're in a gross cave, and I'm sitting on a shoulder that I realize does have sticky slop on it. So I had to re clean myself and clean that portion of Tic Tac's body. And I don't want to be down here, and I don't know anything except for a very distressing memory and some guilt that I think is probably being misconstrued, maybe.

66
00:18:11.000 --> 00:18:16.000
<v Speaker A>Do you want to. You know, you got that offer to trade in a hero point for a memory.

67
00:18:16.000 --> 00:18:22.000
<v Speaker D>Can I trade in someone else's hero? Wait, you're God. It doesn't matter whose hero points it is, right?

68
00:18:22.000 --> 00:18:36.000
<v Speaker A>I am God. But you could also, like, you could also find a way to take someone's hero point. That much I'll let you know. That y' all could do. Remember, you can manifest things here, so

69
00:18:36.000 --> 00:18:41.000
<v Speaker F>it's called murder

70
00:18:41.000 --> 00:18:42.000
<v Speaker A>Tomato.

71
00:18:41.000 --> 00:18:44.000
<v Speaker G>Get their hero points.

72
00:18:44.000 --> 00:18:50.000
<v Speaker D>Yeah, it's the same thing. I'll trade in my own hero point.

73
00:18:50.000 --> 00:18:57.000
<v Speaker A>Your own hero point. All right. Or a memory for a memory. You want to roll a D12, then?

74
00:18:57.000 --> 00:18:59.000
<v Speaker E>Yes, I.

75
00:18:59.000 --> 00:19:33.000
<v Speaker A>As you're sitting on Tic Tacs now. Clean shoulder. Specifically the left shoulder. Not necessarily, like, because that's important. It's more like, because you clean that shoulder. So I just want Tic Tac to know only your left shoulder is clean. You have a lot of time to think, because unless you're making conversation, this is a very silent and eerie walk.

76
00:19:33.000 --> 00:19:34.000
<v Speaker B>Or.

77
00:19:34.000 --> 00:20:01.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah, walk. And so with your moments to yourself and nothing but yourself, perhaps someone or something gives you a moment to think, and you remember that you were once a follower of a God.

78
00:20:01.000 --> 00:20:03.000
<v Speaker G>Not a. Not a.

79
00:20:03.000 --> 00:21:35.000
<v Speaker A>Not a God, actually, more so a demigod. And you understand the difference between a God and a demigod, despite them all being under the same pantheon. A God is true. A God doesn't die. A God does not need worshipers to exist, but a demigod does. A demigod needs worshipers a demigod needs to be believed in for their extraordinary powers. And Yuso believed in the one and only, the maverick, the demigod of the wilds and freedom and running around and not really giving a shit. The. The prince of all things wild is their name. And you still somewhere identify with that feeling of freedom, with that yearning of it. And inside this cave, these walls seem to close in on you. Despite being the size of a thumb, on a good day, you have so much space and you have nothing at all. And now he seems so very far away.

80
00:21:35.000 --> 00:21:36.000
<v Speaker E>Memory.

81
00:21:36.000 --> 00:21:51.000
<v Speaker D>And to be clear, when I'm following a God of the wilds, of all things wild, that is more the hedonistic thrills side of wild and less the being out in nature side.

82
00:21:51.000 --> 00:22:23.000
<v Speaker A>So the fun part about these gods is that they, they, they, they decide to be a little vague with things because, you know, these, these, these gods. The best way to put it, like to go both ways. So yeah, probably free hedonistic vibes, but like, also maybe like, wow, the forest. What if I frolic?

83
00:22:23.000 --> 00:22:27.000
<v Speaker D>I mean, at like a glimping situation now.

84
00:22:27.000 --> 00:22:44.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah, maybe. I mean, like, you know, orgy in the woods or g at home. Like everything's the same. It's potato, tomato, you know, if you drink on the road, if you drink in a bar, you're still drinking

85
00:22:44.000 --> 00:22:45.000
<v Speaker G>it all.

86
00:22:45.000 --> 00:23:07.000
<v Speaker A>It all makes sense. It all makes sense. This guy also, this God has top surgery scars. I just feel like I. They need to say that nice and chill. They have very. Oh, nice and chill and like no shirts. That's the other one. No shirts. This is one of the gods where I was like, abandon all shirts.

87
00:23:07.000 --> 00:23:28.000
<v Speaker D>Yeah. I think that Korra thinks back to Compy eating all of the goo and is just like, huh, maybe this God is wrong. And there is a difference between eating at home and eating in a cave.

88
00:23:28.000 --> 00:23:39.000
<v Speaker A>You know, Maybe, maybe, maybe. Joe Mama, how are you feeling?

89
00:23:39.000 --> 00:23:41.000
<v Speaker F>Sorry, who was that?

90
00:23:41.000 --> 00:23:48.000
<v Speaker A>Just Joe Mama. How you feeling?

91
00:23:48.000 --> 00:23:51.000
<v Speaker F>I will do this, Pitaki. I know.

92
00:23:51.000 --> 00:23:53.000
<v Speaker A>How are you feeling?

93
00:23:53.000 --> 00:25:12.000
<v Speaker F>Does not feeling There, there. I feel like I does see. Feel like Joe is more focused and just trying to connect dots. They are building out a map in their head and all the points are unknown. They are not necessarily trusting of this group of where they are. They don't know if the random people were trying to eat the dragon for good reason. Are so hungry. I don't know. I wouldn't try to eat the giant if they were hungry. That's a much bigger target. More things to eat than the tiny little guy. And then they think about the arm in their bag and in a regular tone, just going to actually ask while they're walking, did anyone find anything important that they have on them that you don't know about? Body parts, information about stuff, anything like that?

94
00:25:12.000 --> 00:25:17.000
<v Speaker E>What do you consider a body part like an arm?

95
00:25:17.000 --> 00:25:19.000
<v Speaker F>A severed arm?

96
00:25:19.000 --> 00:25:22.000
<v Speaker E>Definitely not an arm.

97
00:25:22.000 --> 00:25:28.000
<v Speaker A>No. Frankly, I don't know how I'd carry one.

98
00:25:28.000 --> 00:25:31.000
<v Speaker C>The only body parts I have are attached to me.

99
00:25:31.000 --> 00:25:35.000
<v Speaker E>I do have a bag of hair though.

100
00:25:35.000 --> 00:25:39.000
<v Speaker B>You aren't one of them cannibals, are you?

101
00:25:39.000 --> 00:25:40.000
<v Speaker F>Me?

102
00:25:40.000 --> 00:25:44.000
<v Speaker B>Like you didn't just bring a snack with you?

103
00:25:44.000 --> 00:25:51.000
<v Speaker F>No, I can't taste. Well, I can taste. I can actually taste very precisely. Only when I want to.

104
00:25:51.000 --> 00:25:55.000
<v Speaker G>Why are you asking specifically about the severed arm?

105
00:25:55.000 --> 00:26:00.000
<v Speaker F>Cuz I have a severed arm in my back and I don't know why it's there.

106
00:26:00.000 --> 00:26:06.000
<v Speaker G>Hmm, interesting. Can I see

107
00:26:06.000 --> 00:26:10.000
<v Speaker F>when we're somewhere safer? I don't know when.

108
00:26:10.000 --> 00:26:12.000
<v Speaker C>Is it bleeding in your bag?

109
00:26:12.000 --> 00:26:17.000
<v Speaker E>Is it. Do you know what it's from God.

110
00:26:17.000 --> 00:26:18.000
<v Speaker F>This is Dustin.

111
00:26:18.000 --> 00:26:21.000
<v Speaker A>Yes.

112
00:26:21.000 --> 00:26:29.000
<v Speaker F>It wasn't bleeding. I remember you said it was stinky and severed, but yeah, it's not bleeding.

113
00:26:29.000 --> 00:26:41.000
<v Speaker A>Perhaps it was. It's a little bit hard to tell because you can't like look in your bag. You, you're, you have, you have like a smuggler sack I believe is what I gave you. So it's bottomless.

114
00:26:41.000 --> 00:26:45.000
<v Speaker F>So it's like it's in there. I'd have to actually grab it.

115
00:26:45.000 --> 00:26:57.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's, you know, it's stinky and it's stinky probably because perhaps it is in some form of decay. But it, it didn't feel like wet when you picked it up.

116
00:26:57.000 --> 00:26:58.000
<v Speaker F>Okay.

117
00:26:58.000 --> 00:27:01.000
<v Speaker A>Though to be fair, your hands are a little like Chuck.

118
00:27:01.000 --> 00:27:02.000
<v Speaker G>Chuck.

119
00:27:01.000 --> 00:27:45.000
<v Speaker A>Because you know, you, you got rid of the slime by rubbing your hands in dirt and then wiping it off like that. And that, that still feels like a sensation. Right. So you know, like if. Damn. I, you know, I was like, I was like getting my food ready for the day and I realized that this is like a night, a sensory nightmare for, for people who have sensory issues in this cave. And I was like, I feel bad for, for, for all of that, but yeah, no, it's. So your hands feel a little weird. But I wouldn't say that it was like wet from blood, per se.

120
00:27:45.000 --> 00:27:55.000
<v Speaker F>Okay then. Yeah, I think it was a. It was not actively bleeding. It may be in some sort of decay, but it was in my bag.

121
00:27:55.000 --> 00:28:05.000
<v Speaker E>What size would you estimate it to be? Or could you pin down what sort of ancestry it comes from? Is this

122
00:28:05.000 --> 00:28:14.000
<v Speaker F>Hard to say. Humanoid. Bigger than you. Many things are including disarmed. It's in my bag.

123
00:28:14.000 --> 00:28:18.000
<v Speaker E>Not much in the way of narrowing it down.

124
00:28:18.000 --> 00:28:37.000
<v Speaker A>Dusty. You do remember that it was distinctly like the same size ish as yours in terms of. If you were to put the size categories. But you only have up to the elbow, not the whole arm per se.

125
00:28:37.000 --> 00:28:51.000
<v Speaker F>Okay then yeah. I think like humanoid. I mean probably an average height. It was up to the elbow. So the forearm double arm is no gone.

126
00:28:51.000 --> 00:29:02.000
<v Speaker E>Did you have a chance per se to examine it for any sort of identifying marker such as a tattoo or scarring of some kind?

127
00:29:02.000 --> 00:29:11.000
<v Speaker F>I did not quit really examine it as I woke up not knowing where I was and I understandable heard explosions of fire nearby.

128
00:29:11.000 --> 00:29:15.000
<v Speaker A>So I went to as one does

129
00:29:15.000 --> 00:29:25.000
<v Speaker E>we must endeavor to take a look at it once we are in a. A better location and perhaps more. More illuminated.

130
00:29:25.000 --> 00:29:48.000
<v Speaker F>Perhaps. Mind you again, Jo is glowing not in the sense that they have like a seven step skincare routine as it's probably like at least 80 lumens if. But they would say we should probably investigate that hair that you said you had. Maybe it's from the same source. Get an idea.

131
00:29:48.000 --> 00:30:04.000
<v Speaker E>Very difficult to tell. I think all I know is it is important. It's important hair. It was for something. It's well kept. Or was I suppose before it was separate from its source.

132
00:30:04.000 --> 00:30:08.000
<v Speaker F>Now that I'm asking questions. Do you know why people are trying to eat you?

133
00:30:08.000 --> 00:30:12.000
<v Speaker E>I have it the foggiest

134
00:30:12.000 --> 00:30:24.000
<v Speaker F>is does anyone know why people are acting of a cannibalistic nature are rather eating sentient pinks Nature

135
00:30:24.000 --> 00:30:35.000
<v Speaker B>that is Cannibalism. I'm a little bit worried about why you're making that clarification with your severed arm.

136
00:30:35.000 --> 00:30:39.000
<v Speaker F>You won. Must be precise when asking questions.

137
00:30:39.000 --> 00:30:44.000
<v Speaker E>It's true. Very helpful.

138
00:30:44.000 --> 00:30:47.000
<v Speaker F>I'll take that as a no.

139
00:30:47.000 --> 00:30:56.000
<v Speaker G>I. I have no idea. I think we all have roughly the same amount of knowledge that you do

140
00:30:56.000 --> 00:30:58.000
<v Speaker F>trouble.

141
00:30:58.000 --> 00:31:50.000
<v Speaker A>It becomes short like very clear shortly that you. You could just keep going on and on and on in this direction. It actually almost feels like you've been walking for somewhere between hours to days. Really hard to distinguish between either, honestly. You do know that you're hungry. You do know that you're thirsty. Some of y' all know that you're sticky because you still got that slime and now blood probably all over you until you finally reach a fork in the road. Two paths. They split somewhat evenly.

142
00:31:50.000 --> 00:31:56.000
<v Speaker E>Does the Wayfinder Pick a direction.

143
00:31:56.000 --> 00:31:59.000
<v Speaker A>It does not.

144
00:31:59.000 --> 00:32:04.000
<v Speaker B>Is one less sticky.

145
00:32:04.000 --> 00:32:08.000
<v Speaker A>You can make a perception roll.

146
00:32:08.000 --> 00:32:19.000
<v Speaker C>I was also going to ask if can I see if there's any footprints or any signs that people either go one way or the other?

147
00:32:19.000 --> 00:32:24.000
<v Speaker A>That's also a perception role. I believe

148
00:32:24.000 --> 00:32:29.000
<v Speaker B>that is a 36 on a stickiness check.

149
00:32:29.000 --> 00:32:36.000
<v Speaker C>My dice have made choices tonight and that is a natural one for a 13.

150
00:32:36.000 --> 00:34:22.000
<v Speaker A>Oh, my God. Shrike. It is so hard to tell because as you've been walking and looking at this cave, the. This cave is so contradictory to describe. It feels naturally unnatural. It feels curious, curiously uncurious. Like, by all means, this is a cave with rocks. But also. No, it's not. Sometimes you think you hear wind, but you can't tell if that's breathing. And sometimes you feel like something is watching you. But also you're traveling in a group with about five other individuals. So technically you're all watching you. It's very difficult to say where, if any, has traveled down either paths. And it doesn't help that this wayfinder seems to have stopped working. It still emits light. It's just the indicator is choosing to no longer indicate, which is weird for my stickiness vibe. Check the left cave. Way more sticky. You can tell this by smell. Just a bit more like wafting.

151
00:34:22.000 --> 00:34:25.000
<v Speaker F>But

152
00:34:25.000 --> 00:34:46.000
<v Speaker A>something vaguely smells like water. And you're sure of it because you smell something different when you smell the slime. Like on a 36. I'll say that your nose is ridiculously trained, you know.

153
00:34:46.000 --> 00:35:18.000
<v Speaker B>Oh, yeah, absolutely. So there's more of the slime to the. You said left, right, left. There is more of the slime to the left. But I also sense water that way. It might be. Ooh, question. Just because I know we have adventurers gear, are our water bottles filled?

154
00:35:18.000 --> 00:35:29.000
<v Speaker A>So not all of you have the adventurer's gear? Only a specific. I think two of you do, but you haven't checked.

155
00:35:29.000 --> 00:35:42.000
<v Speaker B>I. As I. As I think about it, as I sense that water and you know, it's been a while, I'll open up my water skin.

156
00:35:42.000 --> 00:35:51.000
<v Speaker A>How are you checking this? Are you taking a sip? Are you dumping it out? How are you doing this?

157
00:35:51.000 --> 00:36:14.000
<v Speaker B>I'm going to take a sip because I'm going to assume that, like it's a water skin. Why would I be carrying around like a water skin of poison or water skin of slime? I trust. I don't know what I am, but I trust myself at least that much.

158
00:36:14.000 --> 00:36:19.000
<v Speaker A>So tell me, what's your favorite thing to drink

159
00:36:19.000 --> 00:36:24.000
<v Speaker B>in this type of setting? I'm gonna go with mead.

160
00:36:24.000 --> 00:36:39.000
<v Speaker A>You taste mead with the consistency of mead, the texture of mead. It even goes down the same way. Mead does. Burns a little bit, but not really. It's mead.

161
00:36:39.000 --> 00:37:11.000
<v Speaker B>I'm a little bit suspicious about that because I remember the. The meat that I am covered in. And I will look up or I guess sideways at the. Drat. What's the. On my shoulder? What is the descriptor I am looking for?

162
00:37:11.000 --> 00:37:13.000
<v Speaker D>Sprite.

163
00:37:13.000 --> 00:37:26.000
<v Speaker B>Yes, Sprite. This. Oh yeah. Because we're a horse. For some reason I thought I had a dragon newt on my shoulder. But yeah, a sprite would make more sense because we're a little bit horse like.

164
00:37:26.000 --> 00:37:28.000
<v Speaker E>Yeah.

165
00:37:28.000 --> 00:37:36.000
<v Speaker B>I will look up at the Quora and I will say, does this taste like mead to you?

166
00:37:36.000 --> 00:37:43.000
<v Speaker D>That sounds like a line that's going to get me into trouble.

167
00:37:43.000 --> 00:38:07.000
<v Speaker B>I apparently love mead, but I find it suspicious that I have a water skin full of it. Especially after our confusion with the meat. And the other thing that the slime tasted like

168
00:38:07.000 --> 00:38:20.000
<v Speaker D>a water skin sized for your mouth. I don't think Cora is going to be able to drink out of. I think that is more a swimming pool pool for Korra.

169
00:38:20.000 --> 00:38:24.000
<v Speaker C>That's a shower.

170
00:38:24.000 --> 00:38:27.000
<v Speaker F>We'll get swimming. Chop chop.

171
00:38:27.000 --> 00:38:40.000
<v Speaker A>I was gonna say. I think a. I think a. I think a large si sized water skin would in. Could in fact be a lethal amount of liquid for. For someone Korra size.

172
00:38:40.000 --> 00:38:58.000
<v Speaker D>Okay. Korra will extend a hand next to you and I would like to use telekinetic hand to pick up a little bit of liquid from this inside this water skin and bring it over to me.

173
00:38:58.000 --> 00:39:01.000
<v Speaker A>Yep. You should be able to do that.

174
00:39:01.000 --> 00:39:07.000
<v Speaker D>Yeah. Can do an object with bulk of one or less.

175
00:39:07.000 --> 00:39:11.000
<v Speaker A>What is this? You say it's telekinetic hand, right?

176
00:39:11.000 --> 00:39:12.000
<v Speaker D>Yeah.

177
00:39:12.000 --> 00:39:16.000
<v Speaker A>Does it have an appearance of sort this magic that you have conjured?

178
00:39:16.000 --> 00:39:44.000
<v Speaker D>I think it looks like the same sort of bright turquoise as a lot of Korra themself and as a lot of their magic sort of veined through with like a sort of fiery orange. And it is approximately the same shape and size as his own hand.

179
00:39:44.000 --> 00:39:50.000
<v Speaker A>You do this. You bring it towards you. What are you doing with this now?

180
00:39:50.000 --> 00:39:56.000
<v Speaker D>I would like to look at it first. Does it seem. Does it look like mead or slime?

181
00:39:56.000 --> 00:40:00.000
<v Speaker A>Oh, it's really hard to tell in the dark.

182
00:40:00.000 --> 00:40:23.000
<v Speaker D>I will gently float my hand over to who's the closest shrike probably. Oh. Although actually we know what Compy thinks it would taste like. So I will float the hand over to Compy and Shout. Does this taste like mead to you?

183
00:40:23.000 --> 00:40:30.000
<v Speaker E>I suppose. In the name of investigation, I can find out

184
00:40:30.000 --> 00:40:32.000
<v Speaker G>why.

185
00:40:32.000 --> 00:40:35.000
<v Speaker B>It tastes too good. It's suspicious.

186
00:40:35.000 --> 00:40:38.000
<v Speaker E>Where did it come from?

187
00:40:38.000 --> 00:40:42.000
<v Speaker B>My water skin.

188
00:40:42.000 --> 00:40:51.000
<v Speaker E>I realize this is perhaps an unuseful question. Do you recall filling it with mead previously?

189
00:40:51.000 --> 00:40:55.000
<v Speaker B>I do not recall anything of the sort of.

190
00:40:55.000 --> 00:41:08.000
<v Speaker E>Understandable. I thought I would ask just in case some of us, you know, are remembering little bits, pieces. Being so interested in mead, the hand

191
00:41:08.000 --> 00:41:13.000
<v Speaker D>dispels and the liquid falls all over Compi's head.

192
00:41:13.000 --> 00:41:16.000
<v Speaker A>Combi. Do you wish to dodge?

193
00:41:16.000 --> 00:41:18.000
<v Speaker E>Yeah, why not?

194
00:41:18.000 --> 00:41:24.000
<v Speaker A>Okay. And Shrike, do you wish to dodge? You two separate people here have to make.

195
00:41:24.000 --> 00:41:25.000
<v Speaker C>Yeah, sure.

196
00:41:25.000 --> 00:41:28.000
<v Speaker A>Okay. Reflex. Saves reflex.

197
00:41:28.000 --> 00:41:33.000
<v Speaker E>Let's see. Let's see if I have an instinct for dodging things.

198
00:41:33.000 --> 00:41:36.000
<v Speaker A>And. And we'll just. We'll just use.

199
00:41:36.000 --> 00:41:37.000
<v Speaker D>Korra.

200
00:41:36.000 --> 00:41:41.000
<v Speaker A>We're just gonna use your spell DC in this case, just to make it work.

201
00:41:41.000 --> 00:41:42.000
<v Speaker G>Yeah.

202
00:41:42.000 --> 00:41:47.000
<v Speaker E>32, 31.

203
00:41:47.000 --> 00:41:49.000
<v Speaker D>You both dodge.

204
00:41:49.000 --> 00:42:12.000
<v Speaker G>Okay, while this is happening, I think Kyrio is going to look around a little bit at this intersection. I would like to see if I can magically orient myself in some manner to see if I can determine what route might be the most appropriate.

205
00:42:12.000 --> 00:42:20.000
<v Speaker A>So there is a cantrip called no Direction. Do you have that?

206
00:42:20.000 --> 00:42:22.000
<v Speaker G>I have no the way.

207
00:42:22.000 --> 00:42:51.000
<v Speaker A>No the way. Okay. You could. You could cast that if you wish in this case. Or you could. You're a liminal catfolk. That is another way to try and rip between, you know, raw magic versus whatever. There's also a few other ways you can do it. But, like, is there any way in particular you would like to magically Vibe check.

208
00:42:51.000 --> 00:43:19.000
<v Speaker G>I think I just kind of. As far as methodology, I think I close my eyes and allow everything that's happening around me to fade away so that my third eye opens and I have the ability to determine what general direction is appropriate, what way shows itself to me.

209
00:43:19.000 --> 00:43:21.000
<v Speaker A>That sounds like you're casting the cantrip, then.

210
00:43:21.000 --> 00:43:22.000
<v Speaker G>Yeah.

211
00:43:22.000 --> 00:44:11.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah. Since you have no memories, I would say that the heightened effect doesn't really apply in this case. But what I. I will give you, obviously what you're able to. To ascertain with this spell, and that is you understand that you are already. You as a group, are already moving north. Like the Wayfinder was taking you that way. And now because of the forked path, you understand, like, you know, one like little. The left side is like what, like northwest, and the E. And the other side is like northeast, essentially, roughly is your. Is your two directions. But you do understand you were all going North.

212
00:44:11.000 --> 00:44:13.000
<v Speaker G>Okay.

213
00:44:13.000 --> 00:44:25.000
<v Speaker A>And you, with the spell, you would know how to get back to your previous location, by the way. Like, if you were to turn around, you can, like, see the path of your little cat feetsies leading you back that way, if you wish.

214
00:44:25.000 --> 00:44:33.000
<v Speaker G>Okay. I also have the ability to detect magic at will. I'd like to do that.

215
00:44:33.000 --> 00:44:36.000
<v Speaker A>But, yeah, detect magic, you said, right?

216
00:44:36.000 --> 00:44:47.000
<v Speaker G>Yes. I'm focusing. I'm focusing not on the people around me, because I've already done that. I want to see if there's anything magic in either of the directions.

217
00:44:47.000 --> 00:45:52.000
<v Speaker A>So besides everything else going on that you saw before, like, you are all wearing and you own magical items, and then Korra herself is essentially a form of raw magic as well. So you can. You can kind of tell the difference. You see, you look between both caves, and you really just. There is. It's so weird. There is like. It's like the cave itself is bouncing off with magic, per se, but, like, the whole thing doesn't necessarily light up. It's more like something with magic has roamed this place, and this place has decided to keep a part of it. In a sense, it's a bit weird. You can't really tell more than that. But you do understand, wherever you're being held, wherever you are right now, it is fucking weird.

218
00:45:52.000 --> 00:46:04.000
<v Speaker G>Yeah, it hangs on to things. So I'm sensing residual magic, which do. I instinctively know that that is not typically how magic is determined by this cantrip.

219
00:46:04.000 --> 00:46:17.000
<v Speaker A>Yes, it's residual, and it's powerful in a sense, so that's something to. To linger on. But.

220
00:46:17.000 --> 00:46:44.000
<v Speaker G>Okay, I think I'll speak up, add, you know, something of note as we progress. There is residual magic here. That is not normal. That is strange.

221
00:46:44.000 --> 00:46:45.000
<v Speaker B>Yeah.

222
00:46:45.000 --> 00:46:48.000
<v Speaker C>I have to agree with you there.

223
00:46:48.000 --> 00:46:53.000
<v Speaker D>Oh, do you think that it's all the slime or something else?

224
00:46:53.000 --> 00:47:02.000
<v Speaker G>It does it appear separate to me because I can physically. I can see the magic. Is it where the slime is, or is it something else?

225
00:47:02.000 --> 00:47:04.000
<v Speaker A>It is where the slime is.

226
00:47:04.000 --> 00:47:06.000
<v Speaker G>Okay.

227
00:47:06.000 --> 00:47:08.000
<v Speaker A>And the slime is everywhere.

228
00:47:08.000 --> 00:47:17.000
<v Speaker G>It looks like the slime. It looks like the slime is magic. Don't touch or eat it.

229
00:47:17.000 --> 00:47:27.000
<v Speaker D>Korra will do another telekinetic hand and pull a little bit out from Tic Tac's flask again and say, what about this?

230
00:47:27.000 --> 00:47:31.000
<v Speaker G>Is that magic? Is it the slime?

231
00:47:31.000 --> 00:47:32.000
<v Speaker A>The.

232
00:47:31.000 --> 00:47:38.000
<v Speaker G>Yes, that is. Why is there slime in the flask?

233
00:47:38.000 --> 00:47:41.000
<v Speaker B>I gag a little bit.

234
00:47:41.000 --> 00:47:50.000
<v Speaker A>In fact, there's so much slime, the flask is basically glowing because of how much slime is in this flask.

235
00:47:50.000 --> 00:47:53.000
<v Speaker G>Oh,

236
00:47:53.000 --> 00:48:02.000
<v Speaker E>well, then I think it seems clear that if we have any food or beverage supplies upon us, they are surely tainted.

237
00:48:02.000 --> 00:48:08.000
<v Speaker F>Now, is it sentient or is it just magical?

238
00:48:08.000 --> 00:48:20.000
<v Speaker G>I can't tell if it is sentient or not. I can tell you that it is residual magic, not innate.

239
00:48:20.000 --> 00:48:34.000
<v Speaker F>Can I do, I guess like an arcana check or Arcana or religion? Aquino slash gm.

240
00:48:34.000 --> 00:48:53.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah, anybody can. Can do. So I'll allow arcana, occult, religion, fucking any type of monster hunting lore. Survival as well. Just let me know what you're rolling here.

241
00:48:53.000 --> 00:48:55.000
<v Speaker C>I'll do a religion.

242
00:48:55.000 --> 00:48:56.000
<v Speaker G>I'm gonna do occultism.

243
00:48:56.000 --> 00:49:02.000
<v Speaker F>Try I got a 30. 30 on Arcana.

244
00:49:02.000 --> 00:49:06.000
<v Speaker A>Using 31 on Survival

245
00:49:06.000 --> 00:49:08.000
<v Speaker D>25. Occult.

246
00:49:08.000 --> 00:49:25.000
<v Speaker A>I have Pale Pale Moon stuck in my head. So the song. And so I'm just boogieing down from like my lower half. You see me bobbing up and down because I'm thinking of the song.

247
00:49:25.000 --> 00:49:31.000
<v Speaker G>Sorry, I had to. I had to math. My brain is absolutely fried today. I got a 30 on my occultism.

248
00:49:31.000 --> 00:49:33.000
<v Speaker F>Nice.

249
00:49:33.000 --> 00:49:35.000
<v Speaker C>24 on my religion.

250
00:49:35.000 --> 00:50:21.000
<v Speaker A>Okay, so let's. Let's do. Let's do the religion first. You really don't know what's going on here, Shrike. And it's, It's. It's difficult because you feel like you should know. You feel like you. On a different circumstance, on a different day, you would understand what is happening. If there is a divine aspect to this, it's not revealing itself to you. It. You. You. You're not really sure at all

251
00:50:21.000 --> 00:50:22.000
<v Speaker E>of

252
00:50:21.000 --> 00:50:40.000
<v Speaker A>this connection, what's going on, and you kind of feel a little lost, unfortunately. Survival, right? We had a 31. And Joe, you rolled Survival or Arcana or what did you roll?

253
00:50:40.000 --> 00:50:41.000
<v Speaker F>Arcana.

254
00:50:41.000 --> 00:52:05.000
<v Speaker A>Arcana. Okay. So survival 31. You understand that this slime is appealing to you all individually. You all say you smell different things. Some of you have tasted different things. You are able to put two and two together, that if Compy were to have taken a sip after looking at this slime or liquid or whatever it was coming out of the skin, Compy would have tasted something different. Because in Compy's brain, Compy is drinking something and not eating it. And while you could argue if pudding can be eaten or drank, it would have been different because Compy's brain is understanding that they are drinking something from a water skein, which is why you tasted something different. On your shoulder it's meat. In your water skin, it is mead. Both start with M, but it's the wrong kind. And you do smell the difference. That's how you rationalize it. That's how you put two and two together. Arcana had a 30, correct?

255
00:52:05.000 --> 00:52:06.000
<v Speaker F>Correct.

256
00:52:06.000 --> 00:53:54.000
<v Speaker A>Yes. Residual magic is the best way to describe what is happening, happening here. And so the. But the like, the effect you could say is magical as a base, but the exact effects wouldn't pop up. It is the equivalent of suggestion. And so you. That is how you're processing what is around you. You're just surrounded by temptating slime, and it's temptating the others to. Is it temptating tempting the others to eat it? And you're pretty sure if you had your sensory stuff turned on, it would be doing the same to you. And so to you, it looks like slime. It's not necessarily influencing you, though. You're certain that if it got in your mouth somehow, it would influence you in some way. Whether or not you can taste it that much, you can kind of logic out occults very similar with the residual magic type of. However, with a 25 and 30, what I will give you is, you know, the. In. In a vague sense, if you could categorize divine beings, you would categorize them as gods and demigods, and that is your pantheon.

257
00:53:54.000 --> 00:53:56.000
<v Speaker D>But

258
00:53:56.000 --> 00:55:35.000
<v Speaker A>magic is not confined to divinity. Other things, other beings can have their own forms of magic. Nature is its own raw form of magic. And sometimes beings just pop into to existence for no reason at all. Sort of similarly to Korra, though. Korra is a sprite made with reason, as all sprites are. But they are also just like a form of raw magic and some form of creativity and like a God or a demi God on a weird day, decided, I guess I need this one. And so because of that, you guys are aware of the third category, which is in modern terms, known as other powers and mystical phenomena. And so something like this, which you're pretty sure a God would not do, could fall under that category. And with a 30, specifically, I think. I think Curio would be able to put two and two together and recognize that one. There's a few. There's a few that do weird liquid shit. But the one that feels correct to you is the voice of depravity, also known as tender flesh.

259
00:55:35.000 --> 00:55:39.000
<v Speaker E>Got.

260
00:55:39.000 --> 00:55:41.000
<v Speaker B>Comes full circle.

261
00:55:41.000 --> 00:55:49.000
<v Speaker A>It does. And so now you are all stuck with a choice. Left or right.

262
00:55:49.000 --> 00:55:53.000
<v Speaker G>One way is northeast, the other is northwest.

263
00:55:53.000 --> 00:55:58.000
<v Speaker B>The way to the left is stickier, but has water.

264
00:55:58.000 --> 00:56:01.000
<v Speaker G>Do you really think we should drink any water that's here?

265
00:56:01.000 --> 00:56:07.000
<v Speaker F>Do you think that's the source of what's creating all this

266
00:56:07.000 --> 00:56:13.000
<v Speaker B>it smells distinct from the meat and the mead.

267
00:56:13.000 --> 00:56:15.000
<v Speaker G>The meat and the mead.

268
00:56:15.000 --> 00:56:17.000
<v Speaker F>The slime.

269
00:56:17.000 --> 00:56:18.000
<v Speaker G>Okay.

270
00:56:18.000 --> 00:56:29.000
<v Speaker C>Might be worth a shot if it is actually water. Maybe the rest of us. Can I look down at myself, get whatever the stuff off of us.

271
00:56:29.000 --> 00:56:48.000
<v Speaker G>Oh. I think I realize that the other people around me are all, like, dirty. I have. I think I have prestidigitation, I think. Or the equivalent. Oh, no, I don't. I'm sorry.

272
00:56:48.000 --> 00:56:50.000
<v Speaker D>I'm not dirty, but I'm.

273
00:56:50.000 --> 00:56:54.000
<v Speaker G>Wrong character. Wrong character.

274
00:56:54.000 --> 00:56:55.000
<v Speaker A>It's. It's okay.

275
00:56:54.000 --> 00:57:09.000
<v Speaker E>It's okay. There seem to be several of us who can have the ability to conjure magic. Do any of us have a spell in our repertoire that would create water?

276
00:57:09.000 --> 00:57:12.000
<v Speaker G>I can create fire. That's it.

277
00:57:12.000 --> 00:57:16.000
<v Speaker E>That is close. Definitely very close.

278
00:57:16.000 --> 00:57:17.000
<v Speaker C>It would fix the problem.

279
00:57:17.000 --> 00:57:19.000
<v Speaker G>If by close you mean the opposite.

280
00:57:19.000 --> 00:57:20.000
<v Speaker C>Fix the problem.

281
00:57:20.000 --> 00:57:25.000
<v Speaker G>It does burn off, but I think it would hurt you and not me.

282
00:57:25.000 --> 00:57:31.000
<v Speaker E>Well, truly, I don't know, because then

283
00:57:31.000 --> 00:57:33.000
<v Speaker G>go towards the water.

284
00:57:33.000 --> 00:57:40.000
<v Speaker E>Some dragons, I think are resistant to fire. And I have no idea if I fall into that category or not.

285
00:57:40.000 --> 00:57:42.000
<v Speaker C>It's a fun science experiment.

286
00:57:42.000 --> 00:57:47.000
<v Speaker E>Yes. We are doing such delightful experiments. Nothing to do. Give it a try.

287
00:57:47.000 --> 00:57:53.000
<v Speaker G>Given we just went through the process of making sure you don't die. I don't feel like experimenting.

288
00:57:53.000 --> 00:57:54.000
<v Speaker C>If.

289
00:57:54.000 --> 00:58:09.000
<v Speaker B>Yeah, if we. Since we don't have any rations, we're gonna be dead sooner than later. Or insane. If we don't go towards water.

290
00:58:09.000 --> 00:58:10.000
<v Speaker C>Yeah.

291
00:58:09.000 --> 00:58:24.000
<v Speaker E>What we could do is make a note of the passage we are going down so that we may retrace our steps should it not prove to be a good passageway to take. And we may take the other one without becoming lost.

292
00:58:24.000 --> 00:58:28.000
<v Speaker G>Assuming that that will be easy as long as things don't move.

293
00:58:28.000 --> 00:58:34.000
<v Speaker F>Assuming the layout of this cave does not change. And the slime, that is magical.

294
00:58:34.000 --> 00:58:44.000
<v Speaker E>And we cannot account for everything. We are working at a disadvantage here. We can only take the steps that we can take.

295
00:58:44.000 --> 00:58:52.000
<v Speaker F>Well, since those require water, we should go towards the water.

296
00:58:52.000 --> 00:59:00.000
<v Speaker E>I will stop to. I will usher strike towards a wall and then scratch a mark on it.

297
00:59:00.000 --> 00:59:05.000
<v Speaker D>How do you assure her? Are you, like, pulling at her hair? Like reigns?

298
00:59:05.000 --> 00:59:10.000
<v Speaker E>Like ratatouille mush? No, no, no.

299
00:59:10.000 --> 00:59:13.000
<v Speaker C>My hair is down in, like, one long braid.

300
00:59:13.000 --> 00:59:21.000
<v Speaker E>Absolutely not. That's much too rude. I will simply gesture towards the wall and say, if you please, madam, I'll

301
00:59:21.000 --> 00:59:24.000
<v Speaker C>go over and let you scratch the wall.

302
00:59:24.000 --> 00:59:33.000
<v Speaker E>I figure I should put it at eye level for the majority of you versus mine, which could be anywhere.

303
00:59:33.000 --> 00:59:42.000
<v Speaker A>You make your mark and you are all going left towards water also. That would be northwest.

304
00:59:42.000 --> 00:59:44.000
<v Speaker C>Yes.

305
00:59:44.000 --> 01:01:03.000
<v Speaker A>All right, you make your mark. You make a mental note and you move towards water. It takes a minute, this walking, the silence. But soon you will all hear is cold and dark. And then it starts to feel somewhat damp. And you do notice a distinct in between. Here is the cave and then there is water. There is enough space to make up camp. And as you kind of reach this destination of sorts, you all, despite walking or not, feel ragged. Armor is heavier, your eyelids equally as heavy. You have time to make camp, whatever camp that is. Would you like to stop and rest?

306
01:01:03.000 --> 01:01:32.000
<v Speaker C>I think it's possibly a good idea to get whatever rest we can possibly take some time to figure out where we are, what's going on, take stock of everything. Now that we aren't actively in danger or wading through slime, it would give time for some of us to get clean and tend to our gear.

307
01:01:32.000 --> 01:01:35.000
<v Speaker D>Shelly. Para for watching.

308
01:01:35.000 --> 01:01:40.000
<v Speaker C>Probably not a bad idea.

309
01:01:40.000 --> 01:01:43.000
<v Speaker D>I'll stick with the cat, if you wouldn't mind.

310
01:01:43.000 --> 01:01:45.000
<v Speaker G>I don't mind.

311
01:01:45.000 --> 01:01:49.000
<v Speaker C>Don't look at Compy.

312
01:01:49.000 --> 01:01:55.000
<v Speaker E>We certainly seem to be well partnered. I would be honored.

313
01:01:55.000 --> 01:01:58.000
<v Speaker F>Tic tac, correct?

314
01:01:58.000 --> 01:02:00.000
<v Speaker B>Yes.

315
01:02:00.000 --> 01:02:03.000
<v Speaker F>Okay,

316
01:02:03.000 --> 01:02:06.000
<v Speaker A>who is first watch?

317
01:02:06.000 --> 01:02:19.000
<v Speaker F>I could take first watch as I. Or last watch, it does not matter. But later. I could stay up later than most of you, I assume.

318
01:02:19.000 --> 01:02:22.000
<v Speaker B>Do you need sleep?

319
01:02:22.000 --> 01:02:25.000
<v Speaker F>I need to rest.

320
01:02:25.000 --> 01:02:40.000
<v Speaker C>You take first watch. Compy and I can take the middle watch. And Curio and Korra, you can take the last one.

321
01:02:40.000 --> 01:02:42.000
<v Speaker G>Sounds good to me.

322
01:02:42.000 --> 01:02:43.000
<v Speaker B>First watch.

323
01:02:43.000 --> 01:02:44.000
<v Speaker E>Oh.

324
01:02:44.000 --> 01:02:45.000
<v Speaker A>So go ahead.

325
01:02:45.000 --> 01:02:53.000
<v Speaker D>Oh, sorry. I was just going to say I'm not much of a survivalist, but is it a bad idea to bathe in our only source of clean water?

326
01:02:53.000 --> 01:03:19.000
<v Speaker B>Yes, yes, yes, we can. We can haul water and clean separately, but we probably should not bathe, at least until we have. Well, actually, this is a real question. Is it flowing water or is it like a tidal pole?

327
01:03:19.000 --> 01:03:28.000
<v Speaker A>You're a bit unsure. The water feels still, but you can. It almost smells fresh.

328
01:03:28.000 --> 01:03:33.000
<v Speaker B>Okay, so since it's not like flowing like a river, we should probably not

329
01:03:33.000 --> 01:03:36.000
<v Speaker C>bathe

330
01:03:36.000 --> 01:03:41.000
<v Speaker B>until we're certain that we won't be needing to drink it.

331
01:03:41.000 --> 01:03:46.000
<v Speaker G>Do we have, like, mess kits or anything? Like, does any. Do any of us have.

332
01:03:46.000 --> 01:03:47.000
<v Speaker A>So some of y'.

333
01:03:47.000 --> 01:03:48.000
<v Speaker E>All.

334
01:03:47.000 --> 01:04:04.000
<v Speaker A>Some of y' all do and some of y' all don't. It's kind of the best way to put it is that not everybody's an adventurer of any sort. You're just kind of here. And so that's why your items are, like, so peculiar.

335
01:04:04.000 --> 01:04:11.000
<v Speaker G>Do I have anything that I can put water in to boil it, like a metal something?

336
01:04:11.000 --> 01:04:14.000
<v Speaker A>You have a shield. The steel shield.

337
01:04:14.000 --> 01:04:17.000
<v Speaker G>All right, delicious dungeon, let's go.

338
01:04:17.000 --> 01:05:08.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah, nothing is stopping you from that. I will say that you can. You guys can find some form of kindling. You can kind of create that in a sense. So if you wish to set up a form of a campfire, you could also. You have magical fire as well, and that does exist. So I have a few ways. Yes, you do. Yes, you do. So there's a few ways for you guys to get a fire going. To get ways to boil water. You just have to be a bit scrappy here. I would also say that some of you are wearing metal armor or you have metal pieces in your armor and so you can take that off and kind of sacrifice it for the bit here to use it as some form of a cup.

339
01:05:08.000 --> 01:05:12.000
<v Speaker E>I would, but I don't know if it'll be helpful coming from me.

340
01:05:12.000 --> 01:05:18.000
<v Speaker A>I mean, it's a U sized situation, so if anything, it still helps you and Korra.

341
01:05:18.000 --> 01:05:24.000
<v Speaker E>That's true. We can share a breastplate.

342
01:05:24.000 --> 01:05:30.000
<v Speaker G>If I use my shield, is it going to damage the shield? I would know.

343
01:05:30.000 --> 01:05:51.000
<v Speaker A>I think if you leave it on for too long, potentially it could, but otherwise a steel shield is rather durable. I believe shields in Pathfinder have hit points and you can fix it as well. So that's a thing. Also comfy. You do have an adventurous pack. You have a new size adventurous pack.

344
01:05:51.000 --> 01:05:52.000
<v Speaker E>Yeah, yeah.

345
01:05:52.000 --> 01:05:54.000
<v Speaker A>So you don't have to sacrifice the blessings.

346
01:05:54.000 --> 01:06:05.000
<v Speaker E>The breastplate, it doesn't like specify. It's got like a mess kit, but I'm like. It's got rations and like flint and steel and stuff. And soap. If I have soap, surely I packed a cup.

347
01:06:05.000 --> 01:06:10.000
<v Speaker C>Mine. You didn't specify mine, so I was going with. I don't have it.

348
01:06:10.000 --> 01:06:18.000
<v Speaker A>Yes, you don't have it specifically. Shrike, you have other things.

349
01:06:18.000 --> 01:06:22.000
<v Speaker C>Let me drink out my warhammer.

350
01:06:22.000 --> 01:06:31.000
<v Speaker G>I think without. Without much to do, Curio will scoop up some water in their shield

351
01:06:31.000 --> 01:06:32.000
<v Speaker E>and

352
01:06:31.000 --> 01:06:39.000
<v Speaker G>set it down and go about like, boiling some water. You need something to bathe with. Let's make some.

353
01:06:39.000 --> 01:06:49.000
<v Speaker A>You all make camp and we're going to do first watch. First watch, I believe is Joe and Tic Tac. Correct.

354
01:06:49.000 --> 01:06:51.000
<v Speaker C>Correct.

355
01:06:51.000 --> 01:06:55.000
<v Speaker A>You guys can make perception rules if you'd like.

356
01:06:55.000 --> 01:07:03.000
<v Speaker F>Sure. I would also during this watch, would like to examine the arm, of course, and make a perception as well.

357
01:07:03.000 --> 01:07:09.000
<v Speaker A>And I will say you have some form. You should have some form of magical light.

358
01:07:09.000 --> 01:07:11.000
<v Speaker F>I am the magical light. Yes.

359
01:07:11.000 --> 01:07:15.000
<v Speaker E>Yes.

360
01:07:15.000 --> 01:07:17.000
<v Speaker F>It's a 19 on the dice.

361
01:07:17.000 --> 01:07:24.000
<v Speaker B>So that is 37 and 35 for Tic Tac.

362
01:07:24.000 --> 01:07:50.000
<v Speaker A>It is eerily quiet. You can boat, you can hear everybody else breathing and whatever the water is, is quite still. But you can even hear its like brief movements as you like perhaps scoop up a cup and then boil it or something like that. Now. Oh yes.

363
01:07:50.000 --> 01:08:02.000
<v Speaker B>I was just going to say I would like to take an opportunity to find a. Or make a non sticky surface and take a look at the book during the watch.

364
01:08:02.000 --> 01:08:32.000
<v Speaker A>I. Yeah, I think you guys did it while you were settling for camp because I don't think anybody wants to sleep in the stick. I would say that your yalls campsite is clean. Like you would have taken the time. Unless you specify you don't. You would have taken the time to have cleaned your surroundings. So you, you may find that. So are you both. You're both examining. One's examining the arm, the other is examining the book. Yeah.

365
01:08:32.000 --> 01:08:34.000
<v Speaker E>Okay.

366
01:08:34.000 --> 01:10:53.000
<v Speaker A>We will do the book first. And I'm going to give you this memory for free because you are reading this book and as you're reading this book you are regaining some what this exactly is. You see you have a catalog of notes on monsters and monster hunting signed by Ozias Thane. I have a little thing for him. Ozias Thane was the legendary hunter who gathered oral histories and scattered text all into one. Without him, the order of grotesque trees would be nothing. Without their work, locals would continue to believe what lurks in the dark can rule over them. And though now he is gone, Ozias is survived by his grandchildren Lilith and Beauregard Thane. And this text, while this text is not the exact copy, you have like a modernized version of it that they combined compiled into like a smaller travel sized version. Because the actual text is kind of like a living text, if that makes sense. They keep adding to it and it keeps growing and growing because it's. It's sort of like the equivalent of the dictionary. It's something to. That was created to continue to be added to, to continue to be studied and, and documented kind of throughout time. And so you have like a little travel sized version of it. And the, the actual book is called the Files of Other Powers and Mystical Phenomena. That is the name of this book. You know what, I'll give you this blurb too. You kind of read, you're able to read the, the first page, the very, very first page of, of, of substance for this

367
01:10:53.000 --> 01:10:54.000
<v Speaker G>book.

368
01:10:54.000 --> 01:12:27.000
<v Speaker A>And it reads Kadir is an ancient, powerful and deeply strange world. Our gods are by no means young, but they certainly are not the oldest beings to exist. The Void predates all, yet we do not worship its name. Civilizations prior to our founding countries had names for these beings. I believe I have translated what was left and I wish to honor their memory. We would be nothing without our predecessors. We must learn from the them. Other Powers and mystical Phenomena is made with the intention of documenting and categorizing creatures outside of the common. My greatest wish is for this to continue the documentation of mythical, to expand our knowledge and to keep the oral studies of old alive. May this living document never die. May it be shared freely, kept from none unless destroyed. And may the pursuit of knowledge always be pursued with the preservation of those around it. Ozias Thane, page one of the files of the Order of Powers and Mystical Phenomena. You also can find a glossary. And this glossary's got everything.

369
01:12:27.000 --> 01:12:51.000
<v Speaker B>Is there anything in particular that calls to me in the glossary? Like, do. Am I, like, oh, this will be useful if I, you know, need to. Need to look something up later, or is it, oh, this is important stuff that I should study up on because I don't remember.

370
01:12:51.000 --> 01:12:59.000
<v Speaker A>Well, the thing that probably strikes you the hardest is the bit on tender flesh.

371
01:12:59.000 --> 01:13:23.000
<v Speaker B>Absolutely. So I will study up on Tinder flesh with a special focus on their. I'm trying to think of like, the wording from like control their supernatural manifestations, I think is a good way to put it.

372
01:13:23.000 --> 01:13:26.000
<v Speaker A>Make a will safe.

373
01:13:26.000 --> 01:13:31.000
<v Speaker B>Oh, okay. 22.

374
01:13:31.000 --> 01:13:34.000
<v Speaker A>No, you want to use a Euro point?

375
01:13:34.000 --> 01:13:39.000
<v Speaker B>Yes, I do. Like, if you were asking me that. How about the 35?

376
01:13:39.000 --> 01:14:56.000
<v Speaker A>35 will definitely do it. I was like, damn, you really don't want the 22. So you. I just letting you know you went from a critical fail to a success. For a moment, your eyes feel incredibly tired, and for a second you struggle to open them as if they are stuck together. But you just. You rub it. You rub your eyes, you rub whatever was keeping them together. And for a second your ears are just like, filled with this hissing sound. And then you open your eyes and it's gone. It's painfully quiet again. And you're able to read a little bit, is what I will say before perhaps you think I'm getting tired. Also, it doesn't help that Ozai is kind of like, while he, like, his writing is like, it's extremely him. Like, this is like a documented first encounter and they keep all of his parts in and then add to it you are able to find. I'm sorry, you were looking for the little mind controlly bit.

377
01:14:56.000 --> 01:14:57.000
<v Speaker B>The.

378
01:14:56.000 --> 01:14:57.000
<v Speaker G>The.

379
01:14:57.000 --> 01:15:00.000
<v Speaker A>The slimy parts. Yes.

380
01:15:00.000 --> 01:15:05.000
<v Speaker B>Yeah. Supernatural manifestations was the word I used. But the slimy parts.

381
01:15:05.000 --> 01:15:22.000
<v Speaker A>Super Matt. Yeah, I like that one. You're able to understand that while there is much more to the tender flesh that you need to take more time to read, what you're able to uncover tonight is that

382
01:15:22.000 --> 01:15:24.000
<v Speaker G>this.

383
01:15:24.000 --> 01:16:08.000
<v Speaker A>This thing sings. It is able to lure people out of safety. It is able to talk to you, speak directly to you. And it can only get stronger the more you listen. Hence why it is called the voice of depravity. It is sickeningly sweet and well, it just wants to feed you. But it does seem sing is what you are understanding. At least that is how it is fully described as singing and is not really referred to anything else. It sings.

384
01:16:08.000 --> 01:16:18.000
<v Speaker B>That's interesting. I wonder if it's some sort of sound based magic. I consider the possibility of earplugs.

385
01:16:18.000 --> 01:16:25.000
<v Speaker A>And we'll just move on from you now. Joe.

386
01:16:25.000 --> 01:16:28.000
<v Speaker F>Yes.

387
01:16:28.000 --> 01:16:30.000
<v Speaker A>I believe you're examining this arm.

388
01:16:30.000 --> 01:16:31.000
<v Speaker G>Yes.

389
01:16:31.000 --> 01:16:36.000
<v Speaker F>Correct. I have taken the arm out of the bag,

390
01:16:36.000 --> 01:17:07.000
<v Speaker A>so let's make so. So I don't need you to roll for this part. As you are fully lit, you can look at this army glowing. I mean you're glowing, but it's reflecting the light a little bit. And it is covered. Covered in writing. The entire arm from fingers to palm, to the front and back.

391
01:17:07.000 --> 01:17:14.000
<v Speaker F>Interesting. What is this like a common language? Or is it like.

392
01:17:14.000 --> 01:18:16.000
<v Speaker A>It is code is what you can tell. And I'll give you this for free. As you're reading this, you are picking up on specific languages that you are beginning to recognize. And you remember that you are a bit of a linguist. You speak about seven languages. You can learn more. You find it quite easy actually. And the specific languages you speak, you speak common sign language, Elvish, Dwarvish, Necro, diabolic and Orcish. And you do see those languages besides sign language on this arm. I'll give you a list of languages afterwards. So if you wish to. To read these languages. Yeah, I'm gonna 100% deciphering though.

393
01:18:16.000 --> 01:18:27.000
<v Speaker F>Yes, I'm gonna 100 send the time. In fact, I'm just gonna give you this. I'm gonna spend more time paying attention to this than looking around.

394
01:18:27.000 --> 01:18:36.000
<v Speaker A>Okay, well, in that case, I. I'm. Are you comfortable with me using your perception roll from before for this decoding?

395
01:18:36.000 --> 01:18:39.000
<v Speaker F>Sure. All right.

396
01:18:39.000 --> 01:18:52.000
<v Speaker A>Any which point do you want to focus on more? There are the five Fingers, the palm, the front which is written vertically and the back which is written horizontally.

397
01:18:52.000 --> 01:19:02.000
<v Speaker F>Is there like easy determination of where this begins or is it just kind of meant to be read?

398
01:19:02.000 --> 01:19:15.000
<v Speaker A>Hope it's just, it's. It's that. That part is a little bit difficult. It's kind of like whatever. You're able to determine that the fingers are separate, the palm is separate, the front is separate, and the back is separate.

399
01:19:15.000 --> 01:19:18.000
<v Speaker F>Fascinating. I'm gonna start with the fingers and the palm.

400
01:19:18.000 --> 01:19:40.000
<v Speaker A>With the fingers, you're easily able to decode it saying from, from thumb to pinky. This hand has five fingers, by the way. It is a five fingered arm with no incisions anywhere. So this is a natural five fingers.

401
01:19:40.000 --> 01:19:50.000
<v Speaker E>See, hear, feel, write, share. Oath of the scribe.

402
01:19:50.000 --> 01:19:57.000
<v Speaker A>You could make like a recall knowledge check on this to see if you've recognized it anywhere.

403
01:19:57.000 --> 01:20:08.000
<v Speaker F>Yeah, like, for what? Kind of like arcana Society. I have poetry lore.

404
01:20:08.000 --> 01:20:11.000
<v Speaker A>Oh, I'll give you poetry lore if you want.

405
01:20:11.000 --> 01:20:12.000
<v Speaker F>Yes, please.

406
01:20:12.000 --> 01:20:19.000
<v Speaker A>Society or poetry load. Which. Which Load Lore. Whichever is.

407
01:20:19.000 --> 01:20:24.000
<v Speaker F>Yeah, that is going to be.

408
01:20:24.000 --> 01:20:26.000
<v Speaker A>Religion is also an option.

409
01:20:26.000 --> 01:20:35.000
<v Speaker F>Religion is also an option. I. Poetry lore is actually higher. That's going to be a total of 29.

410
01:20:35.000 --> 01:21:14.000
<v Speaker A>Yeah, I'll do it. You say this out loud maybe to yourself to think just to just rumble through it and you recognize that this is the oath of the scribe, the God, and this is something that their followers tattoo on their hands. It is the solemn oath to essentially document your experience and share it, which is like majority of what the scribe is about.

411
01:21:14.000 --> 01:21:19.000
<v Speaker F>Okay.

412
01:21:19.000 --> 01:21:24.000
<v Speaker A>If you are attempting to figure out what the palm says, that's going to be another perception role.

413
01:21:24.000 --> 01:21:27.000
<v Speaker C>Okay.

414
01:21:27.000 --> 01:21:38.000
<v Speaker A>Unless you have some sort of decoding thing you could do. I would also allow like society maybe.

415
01:21:38.000 --> 01:21:50.000
<v Speaker F>I don't think like even with the background, you know, though, as I'm doing this, I do have read psychometric resonance.

416
01:21:50.000 --> 01:21:52.000
<v Speaker A>What does that do?

417
01:21:52.000 --> 01:22:01.000
<v Speaker F>It's the feet that allows me to read the last psychic compression left on this object.

418
01:22:01.000 --> 01:22:02.000
<v Speaker A>If you want to do that.

419
01:22:02.000 --> 01:22:08.000
<v Speaker F>No longer attached to a living thing, it is now considered an object.

420
01:22:08.000 --> 01:22:11.000
<v Speaker A>If you want to do that, I'll allow you to do that.

421
01:22:11.000 --> 01:22:36.000
<v Speaker F>Yeah, let me. I want to do that. Let's see the effect specifically like this is what it reads. But I could spend one minute concentrating on the object to get a vision of the face of the person who imbued the item with such emotion in the first place. And I get the associated emotions are the vibe left by it.

422
01:22:36.000 --> 01:22:46.000
<v Speaker A>Yep, that's perfect. You gain a memory for this as what does this look like, this spell you're casting?

423
01:22:46.000 --> 01:23:19.000
<v Speaker F>It's not even a spell. It's kind of just like an innate ability like I have. If anything, it would probably look like Joe has been glowing from just like their skin or whatever. I think if anything, the glow of the light maybe dims slightly as they're concentrating on this and maybe the color of the light changes to whatever color is being associated with this.

424
01:23:19.000 --> 01:23:49.000
<v Speaker A>The color that it is being associated with. I actually have something for that. It is silver, white and yellow. Bit of a gradient. And your memory, as you study this arm, your eyes dilate in a mechanical

425
01:23:49.000 --> 01:23:51.000
<v Speaker C>way

426
01:23:51.000 --> 01:25:13.000
<v Speaker A>and you remember something. You were out in the ember, dune ports surrounded by desert, but in a port city of sorts. It is a airship port city. For you see, this is one of the only ways to travel in Mithram. And you are hunting someone and you have found your mark. A follower of the scribe. You see yourself cut off their arm, your prize, the thing that you were sent out to retrieve with most important information to someone, to you. And you simply leave them left to die in the desert before re entering the city. Perhaps their corpse is still outside. You're not 100% sure and that's not necessarily your problem anymore. How does that make you feel?

427
01:25:13.000 --> 01:25:42.000
<v Speaker F>As they come to from this memory, they specifically focus now on making sure the light is back to whatever color. They're just like the bright light it was was normally. And they are going to take a moment now. I think they're going to put the arm away back into the bag.

428
01:25:42.000 --> 01:25:50.000
<v Speaker A>Good call. As who is second watch? I believe that's Shrike. Correct.

429
01:25:50.000 --> 01:25:51.000
<v Speaker C>Y.

430
01:25:51.000 --> 01:25:56.000
<v Speaker B>And before we switch watches, there's something I would like to do.

431
01:25:56.000 --> 01:25:59.000
<v Speaker A>What is that?

432
01:25:59.000 --> 01:26:06.000
<v Speaker B>Hey, Joe, you said you could turn off your sensation of taste, right?

433
01:26:06.000 --> 01:26:08.000
<v Speaker F>Correct.

434
01:26:08.000 --> 01:26:15.000
<v Speaker B>Are you able to turn off your sense of hearing?

435
01:26:15.000 --> 01:26:40.000
<v Speaker A>You know, you can turn off all your senses though, depending what you turn off. It kind of like you're. You feel like it is counterintuitive in some senses. Like it's almost like if you were to go turn off, you can turn off your ability to perceive vision. For example, if you were to go to turn it off, you get a warning.

436
01:26:40.000 --> 01:26:41.000
<v Speaker F>Interesting.

437
01:26:40.000 --> 01:26:50.000
<v Speaker A>Okay, yeah. In your head you don't see a warning. It's like in your head like a whole diagnostic runs. But you could do it.

438
01:26:50.000 --> 01:27:02.000
<v Speaker F>I think Joe takes moments to process and yes, I could. It's not normally, not normal.

439
01:27:02.000 --> 01:27:25.000
<v Speaker B>I. I read something about how the tender flesh sings. And I want you to do me a favor. Just during the next watch before you go to bed, turn off your hearing for a while and see if. If it affects the way you perceive things.

440
01:27:25.000 --> 01:27:29.000
<v Speaker F>I'll take notice

441
01:27:29.000 --> 01:27:32.000
<v Speaker B>and then I will go off to bed.

442
01:27:32.000 --> 01:27:54.000
<v Speaker A>Yep. And diligently Shrike, you wake up. Your body is clockwork in in this case. And Shrike will wake up compy and we will end here and begin next episode with second watch. So, Ferris, take us out.

443
01:27:54.000 --> 01:28:06.000
<v Speaker E>Thank you one and all for joining us. This has been Gobbles and Gays. We have been playing BR in Charal House and we are slowly remembering things that we didn't know before. And that is how this game works.

444
01:28:06.000 --> 01:28:07.000
<v Speaker G>Yeah, that's all of us. Hi. Bye.

445
01:28:07.000 --> 01:28:22.000
<v Speaker E>Have a good day.
